Scoring is a topic which everyone will never be able to agree upon. If you acknowledge that point, then all the specifics and potential minutae of scoring become less significant than the point of having some sort of scoring system that is fair (even if a bit unbalanced). We recognize that no matter what we do, someone will have a system they think is "better" or "more fair". So since we will never be able to have a system that is the "best" and "fairest" in 100% of players' minds, our goal is to have a system that is "good" and "fair" and promotes teamplay.

  • well, now i got to finally give ta some time and test it.
    here are my thoughts (a penny anyone?)

    1. I NEED AIR CONTROL!
    just releasing foward or backward for it to work SUCKS ASS!!!
    i honestly won't buy the game, if id keeps it out!

    2. what are those stupid .wav comments from people doing in there?
    are y'all stupid fagots who work for unreale and epicleptic entartainment???

    3. the scoring system: why is it in there?
    don't let people say 'euh, it sucks' or 'euh, it rocks', just keep it out!
    i don't need it and i can't imagine it having been requested that many times..

    4. next time you release a demo, pick a great map, not a half-way decent one.

    5. am i too stupid or did i just see the proxy mine launcher i there, although i was able to bind the other guns?
    the only weapon in q2, i didn't like, was the grenade launcher.
    although proxy mines have only been in mods until now, they SUCK (except for chaosq2, but that's different).

    6. great order system.
    the only thing i'm missing is the ability to give orders only to individuals, not teams, as in the original q3.

    7. is this a bug or again my fault?
    i gave an order too my team and continued playing, BUT while i was running around, my character continued to gave orders over and over again.
    i don't remember if they were the same one or different ones, sorry, but i do remember having bind NOT A SINGLE ORDER to any key.

    8. i think, the bots are even worse than in the original games. too predictable paths they walk over and over again.
    on the other way, i saw them rj A LOT!

    9. request: an 'advanced' setup option where you can set up every single line from the q3config.
    i hate starting the game, setting it up, shutting it down, editing the q3config (especially drawfps, fov and zoomfov) and THEN beeing able to play for the first time!

    well, i just wanted to say some things, if i'm wrong, correct me please.

    i'm gonna go look for an air-control hack now!
