3dfx Rampage Specs

It looks now that there will be three different cards. Here's a look at the specs for the mid level config

What they need to do like nvidia, however, is their chip technology. Specifically single chip designs. I can't express how terrible it is that they continue to rely on equal power through multiple instances of substandard chips.
It looks bad on paper, and looks worse in person. They need to get some engineers in there who are able to break away from the whole "sli" bullshit, and develop some chips that are god damn powerhouses so that they can become one themselves.
These changes in their business plan will take them in the right direction. But only so far. You can only talk the talk so much. You can only bullshit so much. They need to walk the walk. Actually create some "new" technology, and not just pile more crap onto the garbage dump. Yeah that last bit isn't an original statement. Doesn't mean its not true though.
