If you've continued to participate in the pop culture phenomenon that is Pokemon Go, chances are you've started to push beyond the limits of the game's storage for items and Pokemon. Lucky for you, The Pokemon Company is allegedly pushing the capture amount from 1500 to 2000 in celebration of the game's second anniversary.

The news comes via Serebii.net, a massive Pokemon fan site. Today's post includes a lot of relevant recent announcements involving various Pokemon games, included to new ability to upgrade Pokemon storage to 2000. Unfortunately, I was not able to find the exact source for this bit of information at the time this was written, so take it with a grain of salt until more information is found.

Another element of this second-anniversary celebration is the introduction of summer style Pikachu. It comes with a straw hat and sunglasses and will be appearing in the game all the way up until July 31, 2018. Celebi's release has been teased as well, so stay tuned to Shacknews for more updates.
