This year's E3 2018 presentation saw a lot of big reveals from some of the hottest game development studios in the business, including some fresh new content concerning Death Stranding, the upcoming title from Hideo Kojima's own Kojima Productions. The game was given an all-new eight-minute trailer, and among other burning questions centered around just what fans are supposed to be expecting from the title, many were left wondering which artist and song were chosen as the trailer's backdrop. Fear not, for we have the answer.

What's the Name of the Song from the Death Stranding E3 2018 Trailer?

The song featured in the E3 2018 Death Stranding trailer is Asylums For The Feeling by Japanese electronic project Silent Poets, featuring lyrics and vocals performed by Leila Adu.. Spearheaded by artist Michiharu Shimoda, Silent Poets has released a number of CDs dating as far back as 1993. Asylums For The Feeling is one of the many tracks featured on "dawn," the project's latest album which released back in February of this year.

Of course, Kojima put his own touch on the use of the track, indicating via Twitter that he made his own cuts and voice over for use in the new trailer.

Kojima admitted that he wasn't able to use the entirety of the track in the trailer, most notably missing "the most beautiful hype" within the song, which apparently occurs around the four minute mark. Fans can get a glimpse of what he means by checking out a more full-length version of the song featured in the video embed below.

The latest iteration of Kojima Productions was formed just about two and a half years ago, and in all that time, we still haven't heard any mention of when players might be able to check out Death Stranding first-hand. That said, it is a Hideo Kojima title, and for many, that fact alone means the game will be worth the wait.
