Plenty of monsters, tons of loot.

Brett Elston, the associate brand manager at Capcom, hung out with Shacknews to discuss Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, the "next era" of the Generations series. It's the HD port of Monster Hunter Generations, which originally released on Nintendo 3DS, and it's coming to Nintendo Switch this August.

"From tiny little guys to gigantic things shooting lasers out of their wings to everything in between, there's huge variety. With that comes the loot they drop. The sheer options you have as a player, that's the real drive for Ultimate."

If you've never played a Monster Hunter game, or maybe you really loved Monster Hunter World and want to delve further into the series, you should absolutely try out this HD release, especially since the Switch makes it simple to take with you everywhere you go. There's also the Prowler mode to consider, which lets you play as the catlike Felyne series, so that's definitely a plus in this game's direction.

You can check it out when it lands on Switch on August 28, 2018.
