Shacknews talks with Astro's Thadeous Cooper about the company's latest special-edition A40 and A10 gaming headsets.

As consoles get more evolved, so do games themselves. Most titles these days use the extra power afforded by consoles like the PlayStation 4 Pro or Xbox One X to vastly increase overall graphics, particularly with regard to resolution as 4K displays become more commonplace. With that said, a lot of players don't put a particular emphasis on sound. That's a shame, not only because proper audio can make a tremendous impact on immersion, but also because getting high-quality audio is often quite simple. Case in point, gamers can simply pick up one of the gaming headsets from companies like Astro.

Shacknews had a chance to sit down with Thadeous Cooper, head of community and influencer marketing for Astro, at E3 2018 to discuss some of the company's latest headphones and gaming headsets.

Noteworthy products on display include the new Astro 10th Anniversary A40s, celebrating the line's tenth straight year of targeting "esports bros." The new headset is crafted with slick red and blue highlights, a clear reference to the cans' Halo-inspired origins, and includes all the latest high-quality components that the make the A40s so popular. Cooper also detailed the latest A10 headset, specifically the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild branded variant with gold accents mated to a matte black finish.

The new Astro special edition headsets will be available around this holiday season: the 10th Anniversary A40, the A40TRX, will be released early in the holiday season and priced at $150, while the Breath of the Wild-themed A10 doesn't yet have a price set but will be out in the mid-holiday season.
