Your Own Monkey Robot

CNN is reporting another one of those robots is being worked on. Inspired by R2-D2, it's the first wireless, Web-connected robot that sees, hears and speaks for you. Using a digital video camera, you can monitor your house using an online connection and can talk to your punk kids when they are tearing up the house or watch your mom and dad having..no wait, that's just wrong. Costs 5 grand though and for the Internet connection it needs 300Kbps of outgoing bandwidth. And, when you don't feel like controlling the robot, you can hire a monkey!
