Weekend Console Download Deals for June 8: Pre-E3 2018 Edition

PlayStation and Xbox are now in the midst of a different war: a war of SAVINGS!

1

E3 is about to begin and that means the sales floodgates have opened. Both PlayStation and Xbox (not Nintendo, who look to be waiting for next week) are offering up massive E3 sales. And I mean, these sales are huge!

The sales have extended to not only to the biggest third-party games of the last year, but many first-party games are on sale, as well. That includes recent first-party games. While the discounts for games like God of War and Sea of Thieves are too big, the fact that they're getting any kind of promotional pricing at all is a big deal in itself.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
