I just thought of an exception to the \"designer\'s name in title = automatic vaporware\" rule. Sid Meier has his name in the title of all his games... Sid Meier\'s Civilization 2, for example. Or Sid Meier\'s Alpha Centauri, which carries the unfortunate acronym of SMAC.

Perhaps the automatic vapor rule only applies to FPS titles. Or maybe I\'m taking this joke a bit too far now... But I guarantee a huge backlash against this American McGee\'s Alice hype. That\'s usually a sign that the game is good. So games with nonsensical titles, like the Quake series and Half-Life, are good. On the other hand, games that have the lead designer\'s name in the title always suffer crippling internal discord in the design phase, ie. John Romero\'s Daikatana. This is not a good sign for American McGee\'s Alice.
