Time to take this saga on the road.

If you've never experienced the Viking-centric adventure series The Banner Saga, you've been missing out. Luckily, you don't have to miss out much longer. The Nintendo Switch version of the popular title is coming out very soon -- this month, in fact, on May 17, just announced by publisher Versus Evil and developer Stoic Studio.

The Banner Saga first debuted on PC four years ago back in January 2014, and then it made its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in January 2016. Now it's settling down on Switch, where you can play through an epic RPG where you travel with your caravan across the landscape and fight off threats that could end up putting your entire civilization in danger. It's also drawn ridiculously well.

You can choose from over 25 playable characters as you bring your adventure to life, accompanied by music from Grammy-nominated composed Austin Wintory and 2D artwork that looks like it should be part of its own special film.

Like what you see? You'll be happy to know this is the first part of a trilogy for Switch, so your journey won't have to come to an end for quite some time.
