I'm not even considering Half-Life the benchmark for all games, heck I prefered System Shock 2 in single player fun factor. But what is HALO offering in terms of a real game? All we hear about is thier cool tech and pretty movies. The Macworld demo is close or over a year old now, and what has changed? Is HALO going to be a newer prettier tribes2? Since it's hitting Xbox, I assume they're looking to make a single player game out of it, yet Bungie hasn't let on that HALO is much more than a cool engine with sliens and spacefighters.. and jeeps.
Heck look at DNF or half-loaf, they've has the tech in thier hands for ages, yet it took them 2+ years to churn out an actual game based on that tech.
