While the Nintendo Switch version of Dark Souls Remastered was delayed to an ambiguous Summer date, the PS4 and Xbox Ones are on track to arrive at the launch date alongside the PC release. As preparation for launch, From Software is hosting two Dark Souls Remastered network tests and they start next week on May 10.

The tests are to be utilized so the development team can improve the network quality of the game. This is crucial to the Souls' games unique passive and active multiplayer elements. The Nintendo Switch will also have a network test, but the schedule has yet to be released. Translated by Google, the official From Software website reveals that network tests will be available in two sessions:

  • May 10 | 6:00 AM – 8:00 AM ET
  • May 11 | 6:00 AM – 8:00 AM ET

Distribution for the test client started today and players will need to free up roughly three gigs of data. Dark Souls Remastered, barring any catastrophic results from the network test, is scheduled to release May 25 on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The Switch version will come with amiibo functionality at launch with players able to use the Solaire of Astora amiibo to make your in-game character do the legendary "Praise The Sun" gesture.
