Sea of Thieves Update 1.0.5 Patch Notes Are Light On Content, Heavy On Tease

New clothing, items, weapons, and ship customization options are 'on the horizon.'

The seas are calm in the newest update for Sea of Thieves. There are quite a few fixed issues in addition to a small handful of updates in this new patch and, while the whole can be seen as slightly unexciting, the developers did tease that some new clothing, items, weapons, and ship customizations are coming.

Patch 1.0.5 for Sea of Thieves, the online sea-faring adventure the Shack staff is having a blast with, addresses some minor things this time around. The Ferryman's message to dead pirates in the Ship of the Dead has been rewritten for clarity, ammo crates have been moved around so they're easier to interact with, the same shanty song won't play twice in a row, and the UI for browsing items has been improved.

The ammo fix is one I'm personally excited for and I'm sure I'm not alone. In a hectic firefight that requires me to run back to reload, a slight slip could result in me opening up the weapon inventory instead of reloading ammo and cost me precious time. Another fix found deep in the patch notes is one involving weapon loadout, which will now persist across all sessions. I typically play with the same weapons so this will get me out to sea a whole lot faster along with other players.

The full patch notes for Sea of Thieves update 1.0.5 can be found on the official site, but that's not all. The dev team rounded up the notes with the #SeaofTease, suggesting that new clothing, items, weapons, and ship customizations are 'on the horizon.'
