Mobile phone users have long been caught in the battle between Apple's iOS and Google's own Android operating systems. While many are drawn toward Apple's chic aesthetic, many others are drawn toward sheer power and versality — the very foundations of Razer's own Razer Phone. Now, some months after its formal release, the Razer Phone is finally seeing a new update to Android Oreo version 8.1, which brings with it new bug fixes and visual tweaks.

The new Android 8.1 update began rolling out to Razer Phone owners this past Monday, and is slated to find its way onto user's devices for the ten days following. Among the new changes are a general overhaul to the Nova Launcher, "cleaner visual" designs, plus a host of different bug fixes and system improvements otherwise.

We went through everything users can expect from the Razer Phone last November, highlighting details such as the handset's slick 5.72-inch 120Hz Ultramotion display, Snapdragon 835 processor, and Adreno 540 GPU. Those interested in picking up the Razer Phone will also note that the device is now being carried at Best Buy retail outlets. The price for the 64GB model is currently set at $700 through the Best Buy website. The phone can also still be found for sale at retailers like Amazon, the Microsoft store, or Razer's own website.
