Conan Exiles is finally being released from its own sort of exile, as it's leaving Early Access after a 14-month stint. You'll be able to enjoy the full version of the open-world survival game when it's rewarded with its long-awaited full launch this summer. This should be just the thing you've been looking for if you're wanting to spice your summer up a bit.

In celebration of the game's debut, developer Funcom has launched a countdown on the official Conan Exiles website along with a visceral new trailer that illustrates what players can look forward to on May 8. If you played the game when it was first made available via Early Access, you're in for a treat, as there's a massive amount of new content coming to the game. Not only is the world itself increasing in size, but all-new features and mechanics are being introduced, as well as a host of new items and a combat system. It's practically like a new game.

You'll be able to build a map room, for instance, to help travel all over the Exiled Lands, and utilize it to teleport all over the world. When it's time to fight off your enemies, you'll be able to try out combat that features a new visual style, with all weapons receiving new attacks and animations as well as light and heavy attacks. Additional progression changes, alterations to the health systems, and other revamps are coming that should offer plenty of reasons for players both new and old to return to the game. Or maybe you're one of the five people who didn't play with the genital customization sliders and you just want to try the game out for the first time. You'll be in for a big surprise.

You can play Conan Exiles in single-player mode or take it online with multiplayer options, and you'll need to pony up $49.99 if you buy it via Xbox Game Preview. If you pick it up on PC, you'll need to pay $29.99. Xbox Game Preview purchasers get Conan's Royal Armor, though, so choose wisely. Just make sure you do the important thing and mess with all the sliders when you start playing and customize your character. That's the most important part, after all. Look forward to the full launch on May 8.
