The world got its first look at Ashen way back in 2015 as part of the independent games reveal during Microsoft’s E3 conference. As the game approaches a possible release in late 2018, the New Zealand-based development team made the trek to PAX East to give showgoers a look at what’s been brewing in the mysterious world of Ashen. The game’s creative director, Derek Bradley, was kind enough to sit down with Shacknews’ Charles Singletary to go in-depth on the gameplay and the game’s co-op functionality.

This is not the first time that Ashen has grabbed the attention of Shacknews. It wowed back at E3 2017 amd managed to pick up an award for being the breakthrough indie game. Our own David Craddock had a chance to play Ashen and give his thoughts. We can’t wait to get our hands on the launch version.
