PAX East 2018: You Don't Know Jack Returns in Jackbox Party Pack 5

It's back and so is Cookie!

Trivia games don't get much snarkier than You Don't Know Jack. And while Jackbox Party Packs have been steadily releasing over the past couple of years, it's been over five years since the last iteration of You Don't Know Jack. There's been a big void since the Facebook version of the game was discontinued in 2015, but at PAX East, Jackbox Games announced that this void is about to be filled.

You Don't Know Jack is set to make its return later this year as one of the first games revealed for the upcoming Jackbox Party Pack 5. Faux game show host Cookie Masterson will return with new questions and new question types. The big difference in this version is that it will integrate various features from recent Jackbox Games titles, like audience integration, streaming features, and the ability to play on a mobile device. In addition to that, the game will feature eight-player support for the first time.

The Jackbox Party Pack 5 will arrive this fall on PC, consoles, and other platforms, likely mobile and streaming platforms. Look for more information on this latest compilation in the months ahead, but in the meantime, learn more at the Jackbox Games website.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Finally, but they really need to add controller support. The one in the first party pack played like shit compared to the PS3/360 YDKJ game.

8 player YDKJ?! Sweet! That always gets a backseat at parties because it's limited to three people. It'll be great to see it with the increased player count.

Yeah, the player expansion is really exciting, four with the... 2011, really? Okay.

With the 2011 console versions was nice, but up to eight is fantastic.
