IO Interactive may have gone independent, but there are still a few areas where they need some publisher help. That includes distributing retail copies of their most recent Hitman game. Fortunately, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has stepped in to help, which is leading to the release of the upcoming Hitman: Definitive Edition.

Hitman: Definitive Edition is just what it sounds like, taking everything from Hitman: Season One and compiling it onto one disc. This includes all of the Hitman: Game of the Year content, as well a new Hitman Anniversary Outfit Bundle that celebrates past IO efforts Freedom Fighters, Kane & Lynch, and Mini Ninjas. Those who already own Hitman will have their chance to purchase this bundle a la carte later this year.

Hitman: Definitive Edition is set to hit store shelves on May 15 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. More information can be found on the IO Interactive website. Start catching up now, because remember, more information about the next chapter of the Hitman series is coming later in 2018.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
