I guess the team at Daybreak Games didn't think revealing their new eSports league was enough news for the day. On top of revealing the brand new H1PL, Daybreak has also announced that as of right now (10am this morning) H1Z1 is completely free to play.

H1Z1 hasn't forgotten about all the players that have already paid for early access and will be giving everyone a "H1Z1 Appreciation Pack" as a thank you for supporting the game early on. According to the press release, the appreciation pack will feature:

  • A Gasrunner Hoodie
  • Bloom Survivor T-Shirt
  • Splinter Camo ARV
  • 10 Victory Crates
  • 10,000 Skulls

Along with the bonus packs, Daybreak has also added bronze, silver, and limited edition gold battle royale packs to celebrate the F2P launch of H1Z1.

Anthony Castoro, General Manager for H1Z1 was pumped to share the big news with fans:

“We are very excited to announce that H1Z1 will be free to play starting today. Not only does this decision allow us to share our version of Battle Royale and Auto Royale with even more players, but it signifies the next step in making H1Z1 a must-watch eSport.”

H1Z1 is available now completely for free and fans will be able to check out the H1PL starting on April 21 either live on Facebook or by taking a trip out to the Twin Galaxies Esports Arena in Las Vegas.
