Souls fans can rejoice knowing that the Nintendo Switch port of Dark Souls Remastered will be arriving on retail and digital shelves May 25. The release date was revealed during today’s Nintendo Direct presentation, along with some gameplay footage, a new Amiibo, and information on an upcoming network test prior to the game’s launch.

Dark Souls and Amiibo fans have reason to rejoice as the launch of the game will bring the first Souls-themed Amiibo into existence. The figure depicts the Warrior of Sunlight, Solaire of Astora, praising the sun, as he tends to do. If you tap the figure against your pro controller or Joy-Con, you can make your avatar do the gesture from the start of your adventure.

The Nintendo Switch version of the game will be arriving around the same time as the PS4 sees the release of the Dark Souls Trilogy box set. The console versions of the Dark Souls Remastered edition will see resolution and framerate improvements to the notoriously ugly and choppy original. Dark Souls Remastered will sell for $39.99.
