Oculus Offers Store Credit After Rift VR Downtime

Along with a software update to fix the runtime error, some store credit will be provided sometime soon.

Oculus Rift went down for hours on March 7, 2018, impacting VR developers and gamers with the "Can't Reach Oculus Runtime Service" error. There was a temporary fix out in the wild that held users over for a bit, but Oculus has finally released an official software update to take care of the error.

The tweet above links to the instructions for an official fix so you can get back to your immersive gaming or development. In addition to that, the head of Rift at Oculus says that those impacted will be gifted store credit for their troubles.
