New Insane Far Cry 5 Live Action Trailer Dips Into Madness

The latest Far Cry 5 live action trailer is basically drowning in drama.

It's always refreshing when fans get a hot new trailer for an upcoming game, and the latest live action trailer for Far Cry 5 is no exception to this rule. The new teaser from the team at Ubisoft dips into the dark side of the game's religious fanatacism to examine what happens when zeal steeps in religious fervor. The results, rather unsurprisingly, are enough to wash away the worries of our world.

By now, fans of the Far Cry series have been given a hearty gulp of what the latest entry is all about. Spoiler alert: these people are crazy. Not only is their conviction borne of a dubious origin, they're willing to do just about anything to get into the good graces of a higher power, including but not limited to participating in a potentially-lethal baptism ceremony. Needless to say, certain results are to be expected.

Far Cry has garnered a reputation as a series that pushes its ideological limits perhaps a bit too far, but that polarizing nature is one of the many reasons why its managed to garner such high interest from fans. This time around, Ubisoft has once again set out to do something different, placing its open-world gameplay formula into a country slowly succumbing to ambiguous moral temperaments. Whether or not the denizens of Hope County, Montana eventually find grace or salvation will be up to the player to decide.

Far Cry is slated to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PCs on March 27.
