Transcripts of the conversation between the astronauts... notice that they say that the back wheel of the rover is off the ground.. etc...
The "C" is probably just a labeled rock for mapping purposes. The astronauts had to mark several spots for measuring purposes. If I had to pick a rock..that one is a pretty good sized one to use IMO.
