Activision’s shooter juggernaut Call of Duty returned to World War 2 in its newest installment, After years of modern warfare and excursions into outer space, the popular franchise attempted a return to its roots. While reaction to the changes may have been mixed, you can give it a spin and see for yourself as the game is currently on a Steam free weekend.

As disrepsectful to your hard drive as it is to your granddad's service, the trial requires a 57GB download. Call of Duty WW2’s free weekend grants access to both of the main multiplayer modes (but not zombies) and will run through Sunday, February 25 at 1pm Pacific. Any player progression, unlocks, or items earned will be carried over to the full game should you choose to stay engaged beyond the free trial period. As a part of the Steam free weekend, the game is being offered at a discounted price of $38.99.
