Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Date Set For 2018, Adds Monsters Inc

There's a special Kingdom Hearts showcase taking place in Japan during D23 Expo 2018 and some information regarding the launch of Kingdom Hearts 3, a game that made one of our most anticipated lists, has finally been revealed. Square-Enix is planning to release the game in 2018 and will reveal the official release date at E3 in June.

Twitter user Squaresoft shared the news while in attendance and attendees also got a chance to see the new world being brought into the Kingdom Hearts series: Monsters Inc. The footage from the event can be seen in the trailer below.

Disney revealed that Kingdom Hearts 3 would be coming in 2018 while revealing the new addition of Toy Story at last year's D23 Expo. It looks like the company is doubling down on the release window and is confident that the developers will have a release date ready to go at E3 2018.
