Disc Jame, the Windjammers inspired sports game, has found a new home today. The game previously launched on PC and PS4, but heads to the mobile/home hybrid Nintendo Switch and the developers are celebrating the launch with a cross-platform update. Two new modes, a new character, and some community-requested improvements have all gone live.

The new Ranked Leagues bring a legitimate competitive scene to Disc Jam on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC and players will earn exclusive cosmetic items each season as they climb up the ranks of the Universal Federation of Disc. On the non-competitive, single-player side, Ghost Arcade brings the difficulty of competitive matches by giving players a chance to face AI based on leaderboard competitors. Thus, your progress personally in Ranked Leagues will influence the experiences of others in the Ghost Arcade.

The Nintendo Switch version of Disc Jam adds to the massive library of Switch games and runs at 60 FPS docked (1080p) or undocked (720p).  If this new launch follows the trend of other indie titles on Switch, Disc Jam could see its best sales performance. The new character featured in this new update is Lannie, a Brazillian woman that strikes a balance between power and agility. Specific enhancements requested by the community aren't detailed in the press release, but the developers state that they're committed to bringing more improvements and content to the game in the future.

Regarding cross-play, the Nintendo Switch can duke it out with Disc Jam owners on PC. PC users also have access to a Disc Jam free weekend starting today and it ends on February 11. Disc Jam is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, and PS4.
