RPG fans are surely familiar with Square Enix's popular Final Fantasy series, but not everyone is totally up to date on Dissidia Final Fantasy, the spinoff series that features characters and elements from an assortment of different Final Fantasy games. It's been a staple for mobile and portable game fans, and the latest mobile entry titled Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia has been gaining a significant following since its first release in Japan last February. Now, after nearly a full year, the game is finally ready to make its English-language debut, with Square Enix releasing the game for the first time in Western territories.

The game combines a lot of different mechanics and characters that should be familiar to Final Fantasy series fans, all pulled together into a multiplayer RPG with turn-based combat and 3D graphics. The game puts a heavy emphasis on its JRPG-inspired battle system, and players can customize their parties with all of their favorite series characters, like Cloud, Mog, Vivi, Zidane, and many others. Magic, summons, experience, it's all there and all presented in a mobile-friendly format. Check out the game's latest English trailer, the likes of which are featured below.

As a sort of celebration of the game's first English language release, Square Enix is promising players a number of different rewards. Players who pre-register throughout February will be eligible to receive 5,000 gems, the game's currency, and players who check in every day are able to collect a number of different login bonuses and check out a host of different specially-priced item and gem bundles.

Like many other big-name mobile releases, Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia is available as a free-to-play title compatible with most modern iOS and Android devices. Players can scoop it up starting right now by heading over to the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
