There are a few key ingredients needed to make a good mobile game: it should have relatively fast-spaced gameplay, enough content to return to over time, and what players might consider an X factor, a special hook that keeps things interesting. And as far as can be told, the latest title from Camex Games hits all the right marks. It's a tactical, hex-based RPG called Tactical Monsters, and it's now available for both iOS and Mac OS devices.

In Tactical Monsters, players will be able to recruit, deploy, and do battle with a number of strange and powerful monsters. The game includes a standard solo adventure mode where players can find new monsters, and the likes of Survival mode and an online multiplayer mode should keep the action fresh for some time. Players will also be able to level up their monsters to earn new skills, or take to the Practice mode to figure out some of their favorite strategies.

Tactical Monsters is fully iPhone X ready, and includes a number of iOS-exclusive features like 3D touch, Game Center achievements, Apple Watch support, and new Apple ARKit content that allows players to interact with the game's Bigfoot monster within their real-world surroundings. The development team has even provided a video to show off some of the game's new AR features, the likes of which we've featured below.

Tactical Monsters' Game Center compatibility also means that players will be able to pick up the game on one device and continue it at any time later on another device, which means they won't ever be too far from the action. All things considered, Tactical Monsters has just about everything that mobile players look for, and it's available now as a free-to-play game through both the Apple App Store and the Mac App Store. PC players can also check it out over on Steam, where the game is currently in early access; just remember that this version won't support any iOS or Mac OS-exclusive features.
