This week on Shack's Arcade Corner we take a look back at Street Fighter Alpha. The game was developed and published by Capcom and added some new features and characters to the already popular fighting game franchise. It was called Street Fighter Zero in Japan and featured Alpha counter moves and a new character, Dan. Check out this video to find out more about Street Fighter Alpha.

Game was epic and easily one of the top 2D fighters from back in the day. Street Fighter Alpha 2 is still one of my all time favorite 2D fighters and is close to being perfect.

I played SFA2 on my Sega Saturn like there was no tomorrow, as for 1 I played it in the Arcade.

      Good times.

SFA2 on the Saturn was AMAZING. Holy shit, it was arcade fucking perfect and the consoled changes were great. Playing that with the Saturn pads was crazy fun.

Totally, back then Arcade perfect is what we all died for so it was amazing to have it a Arcade+ port.

Sega Saturn was the 2D fighter place to be, I even had the Extended RAM Cartridge for all my other 2D games. Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter where incredible as well, to see Magneto's shadow hands idle movement animation was so dope with the Cart.
