We haven't heard much about Code Vein, Bandai Namco's new Dark Souls-inspired series since its reveal earlier this year. It would appear that they're finally ready to reveal more details about the plot, show off a hefty chunk of gameplay, and rock out to Code Vein's theme song with the release of their latest trailer.

According to the trailer, you play as a Revenant, a human who has died and been reborn in a Vampiric form. You must hunt down your past as you battle your enemies known as "The Lost" while also avoiding becoming one of them yourself. The trailer also features the animation work of Ufotable, who has worked with Bandai Namco in the past on titles like Tales of Xillia and God Eater. The game's theme song, "Underworld" also makes its debut in this trailer and is performed by Japanese metal duo, Vamps.

While there's no official release date yet for Code Vein, you can expect the Souls-like action RPG to release some time in 2018.
