The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC pack 2 has arrived, and players are already diving into the latest content release titled The Champions' Ballad. The DLC gives players the chance to take on all-new challenges and earn some super rare loot, like Link's Master Cycle Zero motorcycle. Earning those wheels is going to take time, however, as the Champions' Ballad DLC offers a whole lot of new content, and players will have to get through all of it in order to unlock Link's two-wheeled Divine Beast.
Before the Champions' Ballad can even begin being sung, players must have first completed the bulk of the main questline, specifically taking back control over each of the four Divine Beasts. For a closer look at how this might be done, head on over to our primary Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild wakthrough and guide. Once those missions have been completed, the new DLC quests can begin.
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Champions' Ballad Walkthrough
This guide covers the very beginning phases of the Champions' Ballad DLC questline, involving Link heading back to the Shrine of Resurrection and claiming the unique Obliterator weapon.
EX The Champions' Ballad - The First Four Shrines
The opening stages of the initial EX The Champions' Ballad quest see Link fighting away at enemy camps and completing challenging shrines all while being limited to just one quarter of one heart. Fortunately, this effect is the flip side of the powerful Obliterator weapon, which can destroy any enemy in just one hit. Here are the shrines that the Hero of Time must conquer before moving on to the later stages of the Champions' Ballad DLC questline.
An enemy camp full of Bokoblins await heroes attempting to enter the Yowaka Ita shrine, where players will have to use power spheres to open a series of locked doors.
A herd of Lizalfos guard the resting place of the Rohta Chigah Shrine, where Link will be tasked with avoiding dangerous spiked obstacles.
A series of Lizalfos and Bokoblin Riders cover the entrance to the Ruvo Korbah Shrine, a Major Test of Strength that contains more than the usual amount of ancient guardians.
A veritable grab-bag of powerful enemies lurk around the frozen resting place of the Etsu Korima shrine, where the Hero of Time must navigate a treacherous pitch-black labyrinth.
EX The Champions' Ballad - A Song For Each Champion
After completing the first four shrines, the one-hit Obliterator will break apart and summon monuments at four different locations across Hyrule. Each monument presents three different challenges for Link to seek out with only vague locations given in the form of guiding photographs. Completion of each set of three Champion-themed quests will not only further the EX The Champions' Ballad questline, it will result in a boost to the special ability provided by that specific Champion.
The EX Champion Urbosa's Song questline involves Link following photos on the southwestern monument to surf around the desert and take down a powerful beast.
The EX Champion Mipha's questline sees Link branching out from the eastern monument to race up waterfalls and solve complex shrine puzzles.
The EX Champion Daruk's Song questline tasks the Hero of Time with taking down a fiery golem and scrambling down a mountain all while avoiding a fiery demise.
The EX Champion Revali's Song questline compels the stoic Hyrulean to shielf surf down a mountainside and put his aerial archery skills to the ultimate test.
EX The Champions' Ballad Final Trial Walkthrough
The end of the EX Champions' Ballad quest puts Link's skill to the ultimate test by conquering a massive multi-part dungeon and facing off with a powerful ancient entity.
