An iconic character is being brought into the latest in the Xeno series in a perfect way.

Reviews for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 have gone live today and, while I've only dropped our impressions for now, I'm fully aware of how great the Blade system is. These characters assist the playable Drivers in combat and, as they become closer over time, the pairing becomes stronger. The Xeno series has a long history and Monolith Soft is using the Blade system to bring iconic android KOS-MOS to their latest release.

KOS-MOS is an incredibly powerful weapon that was created to take on the Gnosis in the Xenosaga series of games on PS2. Kotaku reported the news that she would be coming to Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in Japan, but it is unclear when or if she'll be coming to US players. Each rare Blade has a unique introduction clip when a Driver bonds with its core and KOS-MOS's is below.

Such a move highlights the Blade system in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as prime real estate for cross-overs with other franchises and, hopefully, this is just the start.
