Marvel Heroes Experiences Its Own Ragnarok A Bit Early
Because the dev team has been put out of commission, the Marvel-based MMORPG has been shut down across all platforms ahead of the previously reported close date in late December.
The sad news that MMORPG Marvel Heroes was coming to a close in the very near future hit us like a ton of bricks a couple weeks ago but fans thought they'd have a little more time to say goodbye. Sadly, it's been reported that the game has shut down well before the planned date of December 31st.

As seen in the tweet above, the early demise of the entire development team has led to the immediate shuttering of Marvel Heroes. Many MMOs have ceremonial closes when it's known that the game will not be supported any longer and I'm sure this has to be heartbreaking for players that hoped to send one of their favorite games off in a big way.
