Gore DM Demo Soon
by Steve Gibson, Oct 31, 2000 3:23pm PSTAh yes, another game that has been in development with relatively little press is nearing completion. Gore from 4DRules is about to be released as a deathmatch multiplayer demo (yay!) next month. The official page has been updated with the news as well as a mention that the game will be on display at the AGDC conference.
The public multiplayer test demo of Gore is nearly complete and should be available for download sometime in November.

I thought the movies looked interesting for gameplay and design. There's a retro, Q1-style throwback quality that I like: hardcore, brutal, and dark, all qualities bled out of the lifeless Q3A. No, the first few shots up on the Shack today don't show this (and a few manage to look pretty ass, too), but keep clicking. Here's crossing my fingers that the game is good.

ANyone else have this prob??
It was able to do outdoor and indoor very seemlessly...in the intro flyby, you could see the whole freaking city and my machine didn't chunk up that bad...that's pretty damn good imo...gameplay was interesting, kept you on your toes and I thought it was fun. The reason I played it again was to see how hard it could get. The fun factor was there, but what really blew me away was how the graphics engine was able to do those long distance shots without totally killing the frame rate.
