PSA: The SNES Classic is In Stock at Walmart This Week

Get ready, because there's likely going to be an internet stampede.

For those who are still looking for an SNES Classic, the time is nearly here to pick one up.

On Tuesday, Walmart sent out notifications indicating that the diminutive version of Nintendo's classic 16-bit console would be restocked on their website on Wednesday at 11AM PT. And if that supply sells out, customers would be able to try again on Thursday and Friday at the same hour.

Shacknews had nothing but good things to say about the SNES Classic in our review back in September. The retro console sold over two million units worldwide in its first month, but there are still some people out there that have missed out. This is their chance, because the old-school throwback is sure to make a fine holiday gift.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
