Find out the specs and FOV settings available to you in the PC edition of COD: WW2.

Last week we were invited to Raven Studios to try out the PC version of Call of Duty: World War 2. Unlike some Call of Duty titles in the past, and a few notable recent releases, the PC version of WW2 will be fully featured and launch at the same time as the console version. But what kind of PC will you need to get WW2 running?

Recommended Specs for Call of Duty: World War 2

DirectX: Version 11.0 compatible video card or equivalent
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Sound Card: DirectX Compatible

Minimum Specs for Call of Duty: World War 2

OS: Windows 7 64-Bit or later
CPU: CPU: Intel® Core™ i3 3225 3.3 GHz or AMD Ryzen™ 5 1400
RAM: 8 GB RAM

Sound Card: DirectX Compatible

Here are the specs for the PC we played on during the testing at Raven:

CPU: Intel Xeon E5-2643 v3, 3.4GHz
RAM: 132GB
Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080
HDD: a lot
Network: Broadband Internet Connection
Sound Card: DirectX Compatible

Needless to say, we did not experience any frame rate issues or problems during our time on that monster PC from Raven, but our full review will include what the WW2 experience is like for us mere mortals with minimum or recommended PCs.

If you have a PC that can run it, the PC version of CoD: WW2 will offer native 4K HDR, a frame rate cap of 250FPS, support for G-Sync, FreeSync and Ultra-Wide monitors, as well as keyboard and mouse being fully re-mappable. Raven and Sledgehammer will try to fight the uphill battle of dealing with cheaters with anti-cheat measures they are unsurprisingly tight-lipped about currently.

WW2 will also have FOV sliders, but they will be capped for certain aspect ratios to keep a level playing field for everyone. This table, courtesy of Raven, shows the FOV values per aspect ratio.

Some final PC notes, there is full controller support – as expected for a game with a console background – however there is no aim assist on the PC version. Unlike Destiny 2, which tries to balance clunky controllers with precise mice, WW2 will be a true PC experience. If you wanted to play CoD: WW2 with a controller, the console versions might be the better place for you.
