Consoles are heralded for their convenience and simplicity for casual gamers and, with Steam Link and the Steam controller, Valve made an effort to streamline the PC gaming experience. This week, the company is pairing the Steam Link up with Icey, a 2D side-scrolling action adventure that sits at a "Very Positive" rating currently.

The Steam Link has had a rough go of it, despite its potential to simplify playing your PC games on any television in your household. If you don't have one, it's being packaged with 2D action-adventure Icey for just $1.

The full bundle includes Icey for $7.69 and the Steam Link for $1.00, totaling $8.69. There's a shipping charge for the Link, but this is an incredible deal for a device regularly priced at $49.99. The Link works by automatically discovering any PC running Steam once you connect it to your TV and home network. You can hook up your PC to your television directly, of course, but the Steam Link allows for a uncongested entertainment setup in your entertainment spaces while leaving the PC in its dedicated space.

This new bundle could give both Icey, which released in 2016, and the Link some new life. Icey is getting life in another way as well, as the developer FantaBlade Network revealed that it will be coming to Nintendo Switch and PS4.
