Considering it has moved over 10 million units at this point, PUBG is becoming quite a monstrous title for Bluehole Studios. It's become so huge, in fact, that Bluehole announced today the creation of PUBG Corp. The new subsidiary will handle PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds development and also manage the title's global business opportunities and operations.

Announced via press release, PUBG Corp has established an office in the US and will be expanding to Europe and Japan as well. This particular move will ease the global development by having centralized contacts around the world.

“Given PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds global success, we want to ensure that we have the operational efficiency that is required to support the game globally,” said Chang Han Kim, CEO, PUBG Corp, in the release. “This new structure allows us to be nimble as we look towards the expansion of strategic business opportunities that include the game’s potential in the esports sector and the growth of PUBG as a true global IP franchise.”

Bluehole Studios, which was recently valued at over $4 billion, is certainly riding the PUBG wave but the developer also has the MMORPGs Tera and Devilian to manage along with a handful of other games. Having an entity entirely focused on PUBG is smart as this major success still has a lot more ahead of it. We've gotten a taste of PUBG in the esport realm and it'll no doubt make more appearances before the Last-Man-Standing tidal wave subsides.
