The Tokyo Game Show news keeps on coming out of Japan, with the latest involving the recently-released Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. Remember a few days ago when Capcom confirmed the rest of its 2017 DLC roster and noted that there weren't any art assets ready to go? As it turns out, there was a trailer ready and it was released late Wednesday evening.

Fresh off the news of Monster Hunter World's release date, say hello to Monster Hunter, who will be joining the crossover fighter on the Capcom side. The female Monster Hunter brings along her powerful melee weapons for some heavy combos, along with some unique abilities. Nothing was more eye-opening than near the end of the trailer, where she was able to parry Thanos' entire Hyper Combo, Daigo-style, and go right back on the offensive.

Monster Hunter's Hyper Combos include a shot with her crossbow, which sends showers of blasts raining down on opponents. She also has a series of melee strikes, culminating in an exploding sword strike. A third Hyper Combo has her swinging her club in succession, with her final blow sending opponents flying across the screen. Then there's her Level 3, where she launches her opponents skyward with her club before she lays down an exploding barrel, which blows up as soon as they land.

No word on when Monster Hunter is set to hit Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, but she's expected to arrive before the end of 2017. In the meantime, check out the trailer below and read up on our recent review.

But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
