Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age has already hit Japan, but Western fans who have seen PS4 and 3DS footage of the game have been clamoring for a localized version. Good news, everyone! That process has already begun.

Surrounded by stuffed blue slimes, series creator Yuji Horii took to video to tell fans that translation of the game has started in five languages, including English. "There's quite a lot of text, so it's an exorbitant amount of work," he said. "But we're doing our best and working hard to get this game to all of you as soon as possible."

Horii gave no time frame for completion, but just knowing that the game will eventually make its way to the States is welcome news for those who love the series. A version for the Nintendo Switch is also expected, but no official date has been announced.
