In April of 2012, Telltale Games released The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series, an episodic game that expanded on Robert Kirkman’s beloved fiction and introduced players to a courageous girl named Clementine. That first season and most of its follow-ups enjoyed a great deal of positive attention in the following years, but now the story is drawing to its close.

Telltale Games today announced the tentatively-titled The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – The Final Season, which is currently in development and will premier in 2018 for unspecified consoles, PC/Mac, and iOS and Android devices. Not a lot of information is available just yet, as these are early days, but the developer did reveal that the final season will allow players to “fully” step back into Clementine’s shoes. Her last appearance was in this year’s The Walking Dead: A New Frontier.

“It’s going to be an amazing experience. Thank you all so much, from the bottom of my heart,” said Melissa Hutchison, who has voiced Clementine since her 2012 debut. “It’s been a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, and so much love has been behind this whole experience. Good luck, I’ll be right there with you.”

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – The Final Season is just one of three projects Telltale Games today announced for late 2017 and beyond. Soon, you’ll also be able to play both Batman: The Enemy Within – The Telltale Series and a second season of The Wolf Among Us.
