E3 2017: Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite coming mid-September

The game already has a story demo out, and pre-orders have begun.

Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite got a new story trailer at Sony's E3 media briefing, showing off some new characters and giving us some background on what the campaign will be about. The best news was a release date of September 19, and the revelation that a story demo is already available.

The trailer opens with several characters meeting in Stark Tower, enlisting the aid of an incarcerated Thanos to help the find the location of the Infinity Stones and discuss the impending threat of Ultron Sigma. Some of the characters shown include Gamora, Nova, and Black Panther, as well and Dante from Devil May Cry 3, and Mega Man and Zero from the Mega Man X games.

The story demo is available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and pre-orders have also begun. The Deluxe Edition of the game, which goes for $89.99, will include Black Panther and five other DLC characters, as well as six premium costumes, including Warrior Thor, Evil Ryu, Gladiator Hulk, and Command Mission Mega Man X. pre-ordering either the standard or Deluxe version will get you Warrior Thor and Evil Ryu costumes.
