Unreal sucked after the first few levels. This is why nobody "gives it credit" for it's single player. It became bland and boring rather quickly. All the jawdropping stuff disappeared after the beginning.

It coulda been one of the greatest, too bad it degraded into ass.

Damn, I just now finished up my new system...took forever well anyway
tbird 1ghz..320 ram,and slapped the old geforce64 mb in for good measure..

finally im pushing well over 100fps in q3,123 to be exact not butt ugly mode either somewhere in between..if anyone has some good tweaking knowledge let me know whats up,I think I can do better fps...yaaaawn sleepy...:)

Oh yeah, I also think that 'low performance' of the P4 is a lot of crap too... just trying to lull AMD again... but I could be wrong...

Intel could always say, 'those were pre-production engineering samples, and we made considerable improvement to the P4 design before manufacuture...' or some such shit ;)

Price cuts and 'intel' lookin good? BAH! Intel is just clearing its stock of P3's b/c they are launching the P4 soon....

I think the 'manuf low yeild of the P4' is a lot of propaganda designed to lull AMD. Why else would they be slashing prices so deep and clearing out the P3's quick? I think their would be some grumblings from the OEM's about not enough P4's anticipated to meet demand for x-mass... or some such thing.

btw- AMD's mgmt is too competent to be 'lulled' like they lulled the dimwits at Intel mgmt with the 'Athlon'.

Yo, Steve, your comments in the threads seem to be 'happier' if I could put a single word to it...

I watched this cool show about car chases on TLC. They showed a guy who decided to race on the highway with his Ferrari F40. He made a video tape showing the speedometer and he went up to 320 km/h. He sold like 10,000 copies of the tape on the black market before the police caught him. I never knew Carmack spent time in jail.

Yup, but one weird thing was it was using some quake 2 sounds. Like for picking up stuff and switching weapons. I thought that was weird so I asked the guy, "Are these quake 2 sounds going to be the same when the game is released?" and he said, "Those are quake 3 sounds" So I thought why argue when can just play the game. But I suppose they were just using those for lack of better sound. Ah that reminds me, in the game, the voices for the Nazi baddies weren't on. So they were just mute when you shot them.

Very funny fella's, but you know what I mean - intel are no where NEAR trouble at all - just the water temperature has turned up a notch more than usual.

I'm sure with the amount of money they have - they could comfortably sell cpu's at a loss until AMD was gone (anyone want a 1ghz p3 for 150$ US?) they are a MASSIVE company - and usually assholes to boot..... - however the FTC would fuck their anus (hot anus for klerck) if they did this...
