A recently filed trademark for Universal's upcoming Super Mario World theme park alludes to a Mario Kart-themed ride as well as other videogame attractions (via WFTV). Specifically, the filing mentions "organization, management or arrangement of kart racing; organization, management or arrangement of motorcycle events and other events with vehicles."

Other notables from the filing include oodles of Nintendo-branded rides, live shows, clothing, and games. In terms of gaming, the paperwork calls attention to game events, leading to speculation that Super Nintendo World might host some sort of ongoing tournament or other participation-friendly happenings.

Universal and Nintendo are expected to open the inaugural Super Nintendo World park at Japan's Universal Studios location ahead of the 2020 Olympic Games. From there, parks will make their way to Orlando, Florida, and Hollywood, California.

Super Nintendo World was announced back in December.
