Patent BS

GameSlice did a bit of investigative work on the little Apogee PR scheme as they call it concerning this patent problem with Duke3d. Kinda funny, The lawyers filing the suit think that Apogee is using this to gain more publicity by making it public??? No way.. and then they carry it over to the Elliot Chin thing with racism in Shadow Warrior.. It's worth checkin out. Thanks Blade for the link.

CyberDawn PR5

Behold the glory of CyberDawn TC release 5. It's out and stuff, I read through the pages some and it looks groovy to me.

And yet another TC to hit the net, Fantasy Quake, "Rise of the Phoenix" is out. If you download it you have agreed to be a beta tester.. cool or something.

Stuff That Sucks

w00, Friday!

Yea buddy, fridays rock. Except for when the power goes out in your building and you have to walk down 14 floors of stairs behind some huge dude who walks at around 1mph. He was nice though and laughed at my jokes, so I didnt kill him.

Zanshin Support Pages

Hexen 2 Release date

Just saw RonSolo of Stomped mention this online, there is an article on Next-Gen confirming that Hexen2 demo will indeed be released on August 22nd.

.plan Wagon

Well, looks like quite a few people jumped all over Paul Steed's ass about the importance of an education as it relates to the gaming industry. Uh.. pretty simple here guys, why not take a poll of how many people at id / Valve / Ion / Ritual / 3dr etc actually have college degrees. Sure they are wonderful in most of the world, but as for the gaming industry.. erm.. not that important for most positions.

And you thought it was over...

Polish of www.brutality.com (Badass web page, visit it now) got this letter from Angel Munoz, who we have all come to know and love as the guy who was willing to bet 25K on a Quake Deathmatch. Well he's at it again, this time for a couple grand.

Ok..so the thrill of "The Bet" is behind us and in its place is the new wave of opinions and jokes. Some people have even called me the Don King of Quake, because supposedly I concocted the whole entire affair as a publicity stunt. In reality Jason and I are good friends and we are both very competitive, I guess both of us just got a little carried away with our bets.

Now that sanity has returned I have a new proposal, that is if Thresh and his supporters from Gamers Extreme decide that this is worthy challenge. I have spoken to Entropy (the Quake champion that lost one game to Thresh and with it his dreams of driving John Carmack's Ferrari) and he would like a rematch but this time the winner to be determined on best of 5 games and
not just one game.

This is what I propose: That we host a rematch of these two champions here in Dallas. That Gamers Extreme and I put up $2,000 each for a total of $4,000. The winner of this bout would receive $2,000 and the additional $2,000 would go to the charity of his choice. This way everyone wins and we all could enjoy an exciting event.

Angel L. Munoz, CEO
NewWorld.com, Inc.

Wacky Quake Art

Little follow up on that cool ass Quake2 pic posted a couple of days ago, here is one from Lopyx which is pretty durn nifty too.

Zanshin Foxed? II

Here are a couple of quotes from Zanshin concerning his "foxing" on IRC a while ago, thanks Vandal:

<removed due to better judgement>

Ack! Fishman just brought this to my attention, a recent posting on Zanshin's page:

8/14/97

Zanshin Foxed
I just got in from the airport to find a process server sitting outside my door with papers for me, and a note from my roommates that 2 of my machines (the loaned ones) were removed yesterday. As of today, I am under court order not to discuss or distribute the technology known as ZGL (Zanshin's GL Library for 3Dfx). There is a court date set for Sept. 29. I cannot say any more at this time. Please don't send me email. I may not be updating the page for several days at this point.

Zanshin is of course working on, or uh.. was working on a full GL Driver for GLQuake to significantly increase performance.

Paul Steed's Q&A

Wow.. well Paul Steed wasnt kidding, this is a bigass .plan update, Well, actually it's pretty much a FAQ. Click here to see the full thing, here is how it starts. Paul Steed is a artist / model dude at id Software btw.

Okay. Thinking about it I guess the following is a sort of Psteed FAQ. Feel free to include any of this in a Q2 FAQ. The questions and answers have been culled from my inbox and I've left out any names to protect the innocent. But if I do in some way offend someone it was completely intentional. Forgive any redundancy whether it's in this post itself or in a previous post by our illustrious info wranglers such as Redwood or Blue. Oh and BTW, DOESN'T OUR LITTLE GAME WE'RE WORKING ON KICK SOME MAJOR AND TOTAL ASS?!?!? Oh yeah. Thought you'd say that.

Requiem Update

Here is a brief update on Requeim, a nifty add on for Quake:

Requiem 2.0 - Ode To The Dead - will be using a new Client Pak for all its new graphics. models and sounds, whilst still remaining a ServerSide patch, which has never been done before. If you feel you have some great models/skins/sounds that you think would improve the patch, please email requiem@planetquake.com with your submissions and credit info. For more information and news on the upcoming Requiem 2.0 Conversion, please check  the website. http://www.planetquake.com/requiem  So get REQ'd!!! ;)

Next-Gen has an article (thanks MaddCow) as well as UGP Online, Quake64 has been delayed for a bit pending the addition of multiplayer support. Romero Interview

Another good ol' interview with John romero over at futurenet, John talks about "downloading the latest chapter of Daikatana every friday at 9pm" and also how Thresh smacked him down and everyone else who was at his house during the QuakeCon97 visit. -Prophet.

QW  FAQ Proxy v0.9

Version 0.9 of this absolutely great util (It's what they used at M3 earlier this year to spectate the finals matches) has hit the net, thanks Juha for telling me.

http://www.students.tut.fi/~r151925/qwfaqproxy/

Features:
- Start and stop demo recording while you are playing. No need for reconnecting.
- Let others observe through your eyes. No observer limit.
- Supports multiple clients, even to the same server.
- Increase your lag. Real lag, not fake.
- Limit access to some features with passwords.
- Chat with others using the same proxy.
- Report your status (armor, health etc.) to your teammates with one command.
- Client-to-server packet filtering. (To get more clients through a slow link.)
- Tells you who is sending fake messages (luckily not a very well known bug in qwcl that lets you erase your name from a say message)

Thresh Challenge Falls Through.

Kinda figured this would happen, but it was fun while it lasted eh? Tell you what, I'll play Thresh for $100 bucks on DM4 next month. Yes, I am stupid.

-I find it incredibly flattering that there are people in the gaming community--including Jason Hall, our illustrious CEO--who think I could defeat Thresh in a one-on-one game of Quake despite his reputation and demonstrated skill. As Jason stated in the plan file that instigated this now mythical challenge, I did indeed proclaim that I thought I could beat Thresh, although I must note that the term "WHOOP" is not in my vocabulary and was supplied by Jason. My statement is an example of what we gamers call "talking shit."

So do I really believe I could beat Thresh? Sure. He's a great player, but even great players can be toppled. Do I believe he could beat me? Of course. He didn't win John Carmack's Ferrari by accident.

The real question is whether or not finding out is worth $25,000, $2,000, or even $100. To that, let me say that I wouldn't stake my own money on it, so why should I be willing to stake someone else's?

The only reason I've even decided to acknowledge this increasingly ridiculous affair is that it's starting to interfere with my productivity. Every day, I receive challenges from other players wanting to test my mettle, angry protests from gamers who are insulted by Jason's suggestion that Thresh is defeatable (the audacity!), votes of confidence from various gamers and industry people, and, perhaps most disturbingly, consoling messages from those who think my inevitable defeat would somehow equate to physical death.

I am busting my ass to make a great, exciting game and also deliver it on schedule, which is the perpetual challenge in game development. All my time and effort are going into ensuring that Riot is as polished and fun as possible. There's no room in that equation for a high profile match with insane stakes against someone I've never played or even met.

I would love to play Thresh, but not until Riot is done and not for $25,000. And that's all I have to say about that.

Jedi Knight Release Date

Matt Lutjen just sent me mail saying that www.meccaworld.com has official word that Jedi Knight, (Dark Forces 2) Is indeed near completion and will be shipping on October 14th! Although people have said things about the technology in this 3d game not being up to Quake standards, they also have raved about the Deathmatching. I can't wait to slice someones ass in half witha  light saber.

Team Fortress v2.6

The v2.6 patch has been released of TeamFortress over on their homepage, you can download it there of course I have the v2.5 in my files section, and once v2.6 is finalized I'll of course add it as well. This new version takes advantage of the added features of QuakeWorld v2.0 which was recently released.

Yet Another Poll

Yea, this is getting old pretty fast, yet another poll asking the same tired old question, "Which game is the real Quake Killer?" When well, in fact it's just a plain goofy question. Of course it attracts press, and uh, I guess this is what it's all about though isnt it?

Gettin Old?

Hm.. we've all noticed that levelord hasn't made it into the office yet after partying last night.. wonder whats up with that? :)

Wisdom Posted

Heh, kinda proud of this.. makes me want to do it more than once a week actually..

QW Server v2.01 Released

Thanks to Redwood for mailing me about this one, a couple of bugs popped up in v2.0 and have been promptly fixed by the QuakeWorld team.

- Added SpectatorConnect, SpectatorThink and SpectatorDisconnect Quake-C functions. They are empty shells for now (a example of moving spectators from point to point is included with impulse 1) but can be used in lots of ways.
Fixed/Changed:
- Fixed the crash bug with spectators
- Changed the death msgs in the Quake-C to fix the old bug of incorrect msgs when your weapon changed. Minor things like if two guys with pentagrams telefrag, they both die (happens in deathmatch 4). Thanks to Nolan 'Radix' Pflug for diffs of the progs changes to get this worked out.

Here are the files:
QWSV for 95 / NT
QWSV for Linux

Cool Ass Art

Thresh Accepts Challenge.

Kenn from Gamers.com sent me some good news, Thresh has decided he will take part in this little 25K bet between Angel Munoz of NeWorld.com and Jason Hall of Monlith. Thresh's personal statement on the matter, as well as a full chronology of the events as they unfolded can be found on gamers.com

Quick note, Jason Hall over at Monolith has not accepted yet, he was the one to up the ante to 25K though, we'll just have to find out. I'll keep you guys posted.

Movements

Good God

Uh.. I've got a concussion or something. Mike Wilson (that punk) pegged my ass from behind (we went to a go-kart track) Damn hat flew off my head, and actually took a couple of laps around the track! (I think it probably had a better lap time that me too, heh)

Freakin Mark Dochterman's car never stopped when we had warnings (bastard wizzed right by us) Levelord was raising all sorts of hell, He was about to get kicked out during the last race of the night. Mike Hadwin put on a break dancing exhibition with Mike Wilson out in front of the building to the delight of many spectators, Harry seemed to be cofused as to whether or not it was a race or a destruction derby.

We had a company tab at the bar, so uh.. we indulged ourselves considerably, I hope I can make it in tomorrow morning at a respectable hour. gotta keeps these massive updates going. :)

Brutality!

Ok, while my ass is at home nursing my wounds (ALKSJF BLISTERS!!!) Check out Brutality, here's the press release:

Copyright Stuff

Tuesday, August 12 - 8:17pm

Off for a bit

No, I don't smoke pot btw, leave me alone, I'm a good kid. We are taking off on a field trip tonight, (finished off the keg here at the office) so uh, maybe expect some interesting updates late tonight if they actually let us back in the building. ;)

oh, btw, check out the Ritual News page for a few pics of the fun :)

Thanks Ion

Ion Storm just brought over the company bong to help celebrate so we'll be busy here at Ritual for the rest of the evening.

25K? Sheot...

Ok, this is getting good, Jason over at Monlith decided it would be cool to up the ante from 2K to 25K(!) and well, I figured that was the end of it, but it seems Mr.  Munoz over at NewWorld has some deep pockets, He's gonna put it up! Check out the letter Angel Munoz forwarded me:

"You grossly underestimate me. I am VERY serious about this bet and if it takes $25,000 to see you break a sweat, well hell then it's worth it to me. So bring Craig, your checkbook and your sweat glands to Dallas for an Adrenaline Vault (www.avault.com) sponsored deathmatch. Yes, I'll bet you $25,000 US Dollars that Thresh completely shreds Craig to pieces, quickly and effectively. And because I think you are bluffing, I'll throw this little incentive for you: For every frag that Craig nails on Thresh I will pay you $1000.

So what's it going to be?

QuakeWorld v2.01

Mmm.. yummy, just got back from a company lunch celebrating a um.. anniversary today. Guess what, there's a bug in QW v2.0 that is being addressed right this minute, G_Reaper forwarded me some email traded with Zoid concerning this serious matter. The only real problem would be in 1on1 or possibly in rare cases team games where sounds are of extreme importance.:

"Spectators can make the sound of someone hitting the gound when they jump, and also water splashes in QW 2.0 just go to any floor and point down and go forward and back onto the floor, it'll make a repeated jumping noise that CAN BE HEARD by playing players. This is quite serious because I believe that fake sounds can be made during 1 on 1 matches to trick players."

Zoid's Response:
----------------
It's a bug in 2.00. It's fixed in 2.01 which I'll be releasing asap.

PainKeep Final Version

Version 1.11 of PainKeep, the  "final version" of this glorious DM add-on pack has been unleashed. You can grab the entire patch over again, or just snag the update patch which is only 2.4 megs. This patch is also QW v2.0 compatible.

Patent Problems?

Heh, this one is pretty damn funny, some dude who got a patent in 1987 on characters captured and displayed on CRT's is sending a cease and desist order to Apogee concerning Duke3d. Check out the story on Game-Wire."An examination of your animated video games such as Duke Nukem 3D indicates that they infringe our client's patent...immediately cease and desist from further manufacture, sale and use of such animated video games."

Unreal Nation

Hm, seems a lot of people didn't catch the fact that www.unrealnation.com has 2 exclusive new screenshots and a sound clip of Unreal! What are you doing? Go look!

Speaking of Unreal..

Shadows recently visited the Epic offices and updated www.shadows.co.uk with his experience.

Terminal Reality

TRI has has some info on the next-generation 3d engines they are working on over there. Joeske (Who just joined us from TRI) Says they are pretty damn cool, so make sure and check them out.

Uh, Wow. $25K?

Hexagon just sent me this quote from Jason Hall's .plan file concerning the ongoing little betting pool of whether or not Craig over at Monlith can beat Thresh.

"You know, I never figured that a casual comment like " I believe that Craig Hubbard can WHOOP Thresh" would generate the kind of interest that it has. For those of you that are wondering what the response has been like, it has been fairly interesting!

People are not ONLY betting on Thresh. A lot of people are betting on Craig!! (I found this REALLY interesting)
You know, The C.E.O of NewWorld.com thinks that his $2000 bet is gonna scare me. Screw that! Let's get serious! $25,000 is more like it! Let's make the stakes worth sweating over..."

Zanshin's 3dfx Stuff

Zanshin, the guy who's making that super cool driver that will increase performance of GLQuake considerabley sent out word that his homepage is updated with the news on a Saturday release

More T3

T3 is well underway with one down fall. ClanLink ( http://clanlink.stomped.com/ ) has decided to drop their involvement in T3. As a result, the QuakeWorld divisions of T3 have been canceled. Good news though is that on the ever expanding T3 Web Site, at http://t3.mpog.com/ , now has a more eye friendly color scheme, updated rules page, a staff page, and a T3 FAQ page. Please also mention that T3 is holding a Logo Contest for the Tournament and anyone with any artistic talent is encouraged to submit a logo design. 32Player Map Project.

There has been an updated version of this huge map pack released over at the project homepage. I'm not really sure what the fixes are, but it's kinda a bummer to have to download the entire pack over again, oh well.

Duke 4

The man we all know an love, George Broussard of 3DRealms updated his .plan with a little info on the progress of the Quake engine based game, Duke4.

"Duke Forever: This continues to grow and take shape, as we make more progress on art and level concepts. Keith and Stephen (Shadow Warrior)have taken to moonlighting and creating Duke Forever maps late at night (as they will be working on the game). I continue to refine the design stuff that comes up and try to polish the spec. We will be adding a new programmer to the game to help Todd in the near future.
Also a new artist will be joining us soon. All in all, the Duke machine is gearing up and moving forward. Be afraid and expect great things."

Unreal Preview

PCGames.com has posted their "The Full Preview" of Epics soon to be released 3d action title, Unreal. Check it out at http://www.pcgames.com/previews/unreal/ -Prophet.

Brian Hook Interview

Yea, this is a little ways off, but might as well beat the rush with submitting questions. There will be an IRC interview conducted with Brian Hook of id Software on August 29. Check out the details over at www.quake2.com and submit your question! I saw this one before Prophet emailed me, honest!

Oops

PimpImpaler (heh) wants to apologize to the QRally team about posting some misinformation about QuakeRally and future updates.

I wish to publicly apologize to you and the quake community. The post that Ridah or Sumaleth did on the Quake Rally home page regarding certain News sites reporting that Quake Rally 1.3 would be the last is my page.

I was running under the impression that my now ex-partner was telling the truth. Obviously he was not.

Madman's Guide

Madman's page on game design. (Some pretty useful and informative stuff there) has another update, this time dealing with:
- Topic of the week, we're presenting the results of our little survey (What's in a DM level?)
- MadMan has done his 1:st part of an article about designing controls.

- Blake has gone mad and reviews a game for the SGI Onyx. Too bad it's a crappy game...

Deathmatch Extreme

Deathmatch Extreme, "Platinum Edition" ( http://omega.simplenet.com/omega/deathx/ ) the web page for the quake mod created by the Omega Team ( http://omega.simplenet.com/omega ) has been redesigned and now offers more information on the upcoming 2.0 release. It also has screenshots of 2 new levels that are going to be in Deathmatch Extreme 2.0.

GLQuake

Jack Mathews updates his .plan promising some cool news in a day or two. Also I'll have to quote him on his feelings towards air travel here:

First, a small GL thing. It's slower because there's less status   bar, thus more screen area to draw. Dammit. Watch what you wish
for, it may come true :) And combat is still MUCH faster.
The QW/QSpy/id website release went really well. The Quake well was  getting a little dry lately, hopefully this helped some.

Also, prepare for a damned cool update by me on Monday or Tuesday...

Updated - 8/8/97 - 7:45am (yes, **AM**) ----------------------------

Airplanes suck my ass.

And make sure to stop by GLQuake Dojo

Weekly Sections

Check it out kids, I done added some new sections and stuff. I'll be updating one of the 5 sections every day of the week. Here's the big plan:

MONDAYS: Reasons to Live
(The good things in life, you know.. Quake?)

TUESDAYS: Weekly Demo
(More Quake carnage demos every week, not only from my POV)

WEDNESDAYS: Words of Wisdom
(heheheh, yea.. I know you guys want my advice on life. <g>)

THURSDAYS: Wack Ass Links
(I love these things so much, why not keep track of all of them?)

FRIDAYS: Stuff That Sucks.
(I'll pretty much point out and make fun of people like uh.. MPlayer?)

What I'm gonna ask from you guys is to email me those wack-ass links, reasons to live, and stuff you think that sucks. Oh, btw.. I'll be having morning updates before 10am CST for now on. Cool eh?

It's Official!

T3 is now on the web at http://t3.mpog.com/ This is the third online tournament brought to you by The Quake ClanRing http://www.mpog.com/clanring/ ClanRing will be hosting the NetQuake portion of the tournament, and if all goes well, ClanLink http://clanlink.stomped.com/ will be hosting the QuakeWorld segment. This is going to be our biggest and best tournament to date.

Carmack on Interlevel Trigger.

Slipgate over at www.quake2.com got a short answer from John Carmack concerning how you will be able to trigger events across levels in Quake2. (Turn on a generator in level4 to light up level3 so you can go back to it for example)

I just have one question I've been meaning to ask you for the potential Quake 2 level editors out there. In both DOOM and Quake, reactions to actions always ocurred in the same level as the action (a trigger in Quake only affects something in the same level as the trigger, a tagged linedef in DOOM only affects sectors in that level with the same tag number). I've heard over and over about going back and forth through levels to do things like deactivate power grids, etc. Will there actually be a way to set a trigger that causes an effect in ANOTHER level besides the one currently being played? If so, how?

>Yes, we have cross-level triggers in quake 2.
>John Carmack

btw, quake2.stomped.com has an email from Brian Hook of id Software confirming the fact that id plans on releasing QE4, the in house level editor used for making the maps in Quake2.

Quake Rally Update

The Impact QRally page has been updated once again to counter a couple claims made on other pages concerning the future of Quake Rally. Here it is, thanks Faustus:

"Speaking of 1.3, contrary to what a certain QR news page is saying, 1.3 will most certainly not be the final version of Quake Rally. In fact, QR is likely to be updated and tweaked well up until Quake2 is released and possibly even further. I also find the idea that we dumped Quess soon after release
too considering Ralgha has been pumping out steady versions ever since updaing was handed over to him. In fact the latest version was just over a week ago. Yes, it was called the "final version" but it still lasted a long time considering it was such a simple project and there's only so much tweaking
you can do to a chess variant without changing the whole concept in a pretty major way."

DemoLand hits 400

PlanetQuake's demo land, home to well, every damn Quake demo you can think of. (Including a special section for our beloved Quake movies) has just hit demo #400. Check it out. http://www.planetquake.com/demoland/ -Prophet.

Quake2 FAQ

The Quake2 FAQ has been updated to reflect many of the recently released bits of info on Quake2. More than likely that stuff about interlevel triggers will be in there as well. :) -Prophet.

4on4 Tourney

Grunt from Clans of QuakeWorld has opened up their 4on4 tourney for signup. If you are a member of a Clan and have seen the light of QuakeWorld, make sure and sign up.

Mario TC Foxed

Heh, this one lasted longer than anyone expected it to, but Nintendo finally caught up with these guys who were working on an unauthorized Quake TC based on the Mario characters by Nintendo. Check out the short goodbye at http://mario.telefragged.com -Prophet.

ArchMage Beta

Another version of this impressive RPG Style TC for Quake has been released fixing a couple spells among other things. Check it. -Prophet.

Quake Map Validator

Version 0.011 has been released. There are several bug fixes in this one. Also check out the features section to see all the new stuff that has been added as well.

Zerstörer

This has to be the #1 most anticipated level pack that I'm aware of. I've gotten a hold of a level or two and will slap up a couple screenshots tomorrow. A testament to the talent of this team is KillMe, one of the level designer, just got hired by id Software.

Half-Life Preview

ElCheeze emailed a few of us webmasters quite excited after seeing a preview of Valve Software's Half-Life, here is a condensed version of his story:

About 5 hours into gibwar 1 (a seattle lan party), one of the valve guys came by and showed off half-life.. and all i have to say is.. damn.. that game is gonna kick ass! they showed off their group AI as a flock of bird-like creatures that moved in a flock, and some broke off and rejoined at their own will.. quite impressive... the enemies made wonderful use of cover, and some would bounce grenades off ceilings to hit you when you were well covered... they showed off the DSP, which was impressive as well.. DSP as in echoes in large rooms, metallic buzzes in long corridors, etc etc...

the pre-planned monster sequences were pretty cool as well..the only one we saw was one where a grunt was in an argument with a scientist. they started fighting, then were distracted by a sound, then they continued the fight, until the grunt saw a monster pop up behind some crates, when he threw the scientist back, and the monster leaped upon the scientist, which was proceeded by the neccessary flying blood, and then the monster drags the corpse behind the crates. the frame interpolation was absolutely stunning, even after typing host_framerate .01 for slow motion (i think thats the command) they were still animated perfectly smoothly. The music track they showed off kicked ass, in my opinion. it was a techno-ish bit by a local musician, whose name also escapes me, damn my bad memory.

He also talked about the player physics where you shoot a character and he is blown across the room, hits a pillar and leaves a blood streak on the wall where he impacted among other things.

Relocations

Don't know why I haven't been doing this section before, site movements:

QuakeWorld Server

Ok, now that everyone has grabbed the new Client, you fartknockers need to start updating the QW servers to v2.0 to take advantage of the improved net code / physics. Here is qwsv0809.zip

Here are the 3 new animated gifs as well.

Carmack Speaks

John Carmack, lead programmer for id Software updated his .plan talking about the recent SIGGRAPH visit:

I went to siggraph last monday to give a talk about realtime graphics for entertainment.

The only real reason I agreed to the talk (I have turned down all other offers in the past) was because Shigeru Miyamoto was supposed to be on the panel representing console software. Id software was really conceived when me, Tom, and Romero made a Super Mario 3 clone after I figured out how to do smooth scrolling EGA games. We actually sent it to nintendo to see if they wanted to publish a PC game, but the interest wasn't there. We wound up doing the Commander Keen games for Apogee instead, and the rest is history.

I was looking forward to meeting Mr. Miyamoto, but he wound up canceling at the last minute. :(

Oh well. I hope everyone that went enjoyed my talk. All the other speakers had powerpoint presentations and detailed discussion plans, but I just rambled for an hour...

I notced that there was a report about my discussion of model level of detail that was in error. I have an experimental harness, an algorithm, and a data structure for doing progressive mesh style LOD rendereing in the quake engine, but I suspect it won't make it into the production Quake 2. Other things are higher priority for us. I may assist some of the quake licensees if they want to pursue it later.

QuakeWorld v2.0

Ok, actually got it here, QuakeWorld full install including new versions of qwcl, glqwcl, and qspy v5.3! qw0809.zip

It's out. QWv2.0

Head on over to www.quakeworld.net and grab the new QuakeWorld files, I'll have all of them here locally in a couple hours. (Connection blows tonight, blech)
